Reflections and Musings on Creativity
“To be creative means to be in love with life. You can be creative only if you love life enough that you want to enhance its beauty, you want to bring a little more music to it, a little more poetry to it, a little more dance to it.”
― Osho
“Creativity is an act of defiance”
-Twyla Tharp
.“The truly creative mind in any field is no more than this: A human creature born abnormally, inhumanly sensitive. To him... a touch is a blow, a sound is a noise, a misfortune is a tragedy, a joy is an ecstasy, a friend is a lover, a lover is a god, and failure is death. Add to this cruelly delicate organism the overpowering necessity to create, create, create -- so that without the creating of music or poetry or books or buildings or something of meaning, his very breath is cut off from him. He must create, must pour out creation. By some strange, unknown, inward urgency he is not really alive unless he is creating.”
― Pearl S. Buck
Musicians, artists, theater people are among the strongest and bravest people on the face of the earth. In one year they face daily rejection by people more than what others live in an entire life.
[….Why?]
Because artists are willing to give their entire life to one moment, to that tune, to that sentence, to that agreement or to that interpretation that will touch the soul of the public. Artists are people who tasted the juice of life at that crystalline moment where they let their creative spirit out and touched someone else's heart. At that moment they were closer to magic, God and perfection than anyone else could have. And in their hearts, they know that moment is worth more than a thousand whole lives
-David Ackert
“You’re mad, bonkers, completely off your head. But I’ll tell you a secret. All the best people are.”
― Lewis Carroll
“Thoughts are like burning stars and ideas, they flood and stretch the universe”
- Criss Jami
